This exciting simulator will enthrals you for hours. You can a pilot your choice of aircraft and fly to airport in any country.
FSX has a feature to record and re-play the last minutes of flights (including landings) from many different camera angles. Sometimes, when flying I keep open a map-window that shows the location my plane (in real-time) in relation to the ground. While “sitting” in the cockpit, FSX also allows you to change eye-point and move the direction of view from left to right and up or down, simply by operating the directional, hat-switch/button (on joystick) during flight. This allows you to “look” out of the cockpit window at nearby airports and landmarks as they pass by underneath. For me, the huge range of free, add-on aircraft and scenery for FSX makes this flight simulator the best value for my Windows 10 computer, compared with all other flight simulators. This is still true even when other Flight Sims have better graphics and resolution than FSX. Also, I have bought and installed various ORBX airports to make the buildings and scenery of those airports more realistic than the default ones on FSX. I have also purchased some, excellent extra aeroplanes by “JustFlight”. Also, I have downloaded many extra (free) aeroplanes from flyawaysimulation.com. their range of free add-ons for FSX Flight Simulator is enormous! Given that it is a 2008 version of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator, the FSX Gold edition has enormous computer-speed benefits compared with the regular, FSX Deluxe version. I recommend that for modern computers (10 years old and later), that it is much better to install the updated, FSX “Gold” version rather than the regular, “Deluxe” version, because of the massive improvements. The Gold version includes extra features and enhancements and is Microsoft’s official update that also includes service packs that fix various software bugs and design flaws in the older, deluxe version. Flight Simulator X Gold for PCs (Windows) lets you (as the pilot) enter an immersive world with changing weather, times of day, and seasons. This “Gold” edition, gives you a bird's-eye view of cities below the aircraft with added details such as moving cars, buildings, houses, and wildlife. Watch as the world beneath you comes to life, from the gates and fuel trucks at your local airport to the hustle and bustle of cities. Experience the challenges of landing at your local airport as day turns to night and as the seasons change. Anywhere is possible, all over the world. FSX on W10
FSX was not made for W10 and does not work well on it even if you can install it. I knew this and wanted the discs for a particular purpose (which did not work either). But I bought with my eyes open and am not disappointed as the discs were in good condition and if I still had a W7 or so, I'm sure it would have been perfect. Perhaps it might be nice though to point out that FSX and W10 are not compatible.

Best version!!!!!!
This is the best version of the original 'Flight Simulator'. While the graphics aren't as state of the art as the current online version, it's way better in that you can actually play it offline!, and, even better, (for those that are inclined, which is the reason I purchased this copy), is that it can be used in the software side of things for an actual flight sim! - (as in, the type that you can actually sit in!)
