These are a pretty good value pedal to change up your distortion tone for something different. Best way to use it in my opinion is set your tube amp clean but just below break up, crank the level, keep the tone at 12 and adjust your amp tone where necessary, and add distortion to taste. Once the level is cranked you'll probably find you don't need to turn the distortion knob as high, and your sound will open up a lot more rather than sounding compressed.

Excellent pedal. Two modes. 2 x more pedal than a ds1 with a much better tone.

Great if you want Boss quality with two distortion tone variations within the same pedal that can be changed on the fly via a foot switch (if you wish) then this is the pedal for you.

This is the first pedal i've purchased but i did a fair bit of research before i chose to buy this one over other basic distortion pedals. It's rather versatile with no drop in gain when applied. The pedal can be finely tweaked to suit many different intensities of distortion; rock, a rough blues tone, a high-end stadium rock sound (this is complimented rather nicely using a WH-10 pedal - As conceptualised by John Frusciante)
