What can I say, Parker pens are the Cadllac of pens. I have always loved them and I am a pen freak aka "pen collector'. This is a sleek and streamlined light weight pen that just glides across the paper when you write. I absolutely love it and will probably get a couple more. They cost a bit but they are SO worth it! If you choose to purchase one, you will not be disappointed!

This galaxy is a great choice for every day and I'd advise considering the Fisher Space, quink, monteverde, and other fine refills with the Fisher as the "it has to just work" selection. So I like parker and parker style pens. My new Galaxy pen is a brushed stainless with the brush finished providing a lot more friction and feedbvack than a mirror-polished chromed stainless.I think this pen is a perfect lightweight compromise between heavy and light, narrow and wide. Still reading? OK here is the deep stuff. I have old parker US and UK made Jotters, (the grip area is too narrow for me), a jewel of a gold plated carved Parker Athena (georgeous and the carving really helps with the grip, but grip is too narrow), a beautiful Parker Astor (luxor made feels very high quality but weighs 30 grams and the grip area is a touch too wide), a new parker jotter (light at 11 grams and again too harrow at the front) and two french made parker sonnets (nice wide grip area but top heavy and a heavy 24 grams. If you are sitting readin a book and taking notes this will crush you. This luxor made Galaxy is shortish but has a slightly wider grip area and weighs a middle-ground 18 grams. Just a fine utility pen for taking notes in a long seminar, or everry day office use. If I am at a meeting and a prospect needed a pen I'd hand them the Sonnet or the Astor, the weight just makes it feel more impressive, but I'll be writing with the Galaxy. I've read that the ball at the top concentrates force too much and is hard to push; I do not agree (even for a delicate lady). The mechanism feels light (not like a solid thunk of a jotter fron the 70s) but precise. When I am travelling I use a fisher space medium point refill for my parker pens. Those last forever, they are tough as nails and never leak. At the office or home I might use a european refill or Quink refill for the smooth effortless feeling. Since I have all the impressive and luxury pens I will ever want or need, I'll by Galaxies from here on out.Read full review

I seems to be executive pen length. I was hoping it was Jotter pen length. I have just a few shirts with shallow pockets in which the Galaxy will not seat fully. Not a big deal. Just what I wanted otherwise.

This ballpoint pen is absolutely beautiful and very well-made. For the money, and also the look, it was a very worthwhile purchase.
