An oldie but a goodie. This set came out in 2007 but I feel it still holds up very well today. Playability is quite good for younger collectors, however the hinged fuselage sections have a tendency to come away fairly easily which may prove annoying for some. The canopy does not have a hinge like all up to date Lego kits do so this may also annoy/disappoint younger collectors. The bombs sit on a moveable platform inside the main fuselage and can easily fall of the platform if the shuttle is being eagerly played with. In this event the bombs will not release when the appropriate lever is operated. You'll need to open the fuselage, retrieve the bombs and place them back in the correct location. This is another factor that may annoy collectors that wish to actively play with the set. I only use mine for display and very occasional demonstration to friends or family so the points raised above are of no real concern to me. The gearing that operates the folding wings functions very well and feels suitably robust. The spring loaded missiles also work well. I picked this set up for a very reasonable price considering it's age and the fact that it was in it's sealed original box. This set is not a must for all Star Wars fans but if you can get it at a good price you should do so.Read full review
