Heavy and bulky. Lens cap goes on the hood so it's thick and not easy to be kept in your pocket while shooting. This in conjunction with not being able to bear a UV or any other filter directly is a little risky. Also it would be nice to attach something like a CPL for landscape shoots like what this lens is good for. But no you have to buy a whole separate mattbox for that to make it even heavier and bulkier. But I knew all of this before I bought it. It's so much cheaper than the Canon 16-35mm F2.8, which also doesn't have image stabilizer. So 4 stars.
