Mounted this unit (GME MB042B) onto the side of my roof rack. It allows the antenna to be set at 3 different angles plus completely horizontal. For me it was important to be set horizontal when not in use around town as my antenna is mounted high on the roof and hits underground car parks and my carport. When horizontal it hides antenna out of sight and out of danger.

Made from good material and looks smart. Only issue is that you can only install the antenna and cable BEFORE you run the cable into the vehicle. I had to modify the bracket by cutting an entry groove into the mounting hole at the top of the bracket and also through the central part with a cutting disc so that both the antenna mounting bolt and cable could be inserted as the cable had already been run through the vehicle to the cb radio mounted inside the car. A small modification to the mounting bracket to allow for pre installed antennas and cable to be easily fitted to the fold down antenna mounting bracket would be very useful.
