These strings have a mixed reputation. A lot of people say they snap in the first day or two, but then other people seem to think they last well. They do have a good reputation for sound quality though so I thought I'd try a set even though I'm new to the ukulele. I fitted one a couple of days ago, the A string, and it sounded good at first, but, boy, does it stretch! And as it stretches, the nice rich tone disappears to become pretty thin. How much does it stretch? Well, a lot, lot more than super Nylgut or even ordinary Nylgut; a lot more than D'Addario nylon guitar strings. I wouldn't buy them again.

Like so many others I really like these strings. They seem to be bright and clear and have good feel. My only misgiving is that I'd prefer them to have a slightly heavier gauge. I prefer the feel of Aquila's Nygut strings, which are slightly thicker, but the tone is not comparable to the Reds. .
