I’ve been running this tire on the rear for a wile now and decided to run it on the front as well. Best decision I’ve ever made. Great grip on all terrain on the down hills. Didn’t notice any difference on the climbs. A bit more rolling resistance on the way down from the maxxis Rekon I had before but no big deal.

Size is accurate, significantly bigger than the 2.3. Handles my terrain, (loose, hardback, rocky, loose over hard). Rolls very fast, more than the weight would seem to indicate. Climbing with the weight isn't an issue and it is rugged. Mounted easily tubeless. Can be mounted either front or back. I've use the 2.3 in back and a DHF 2.5 in the front but I like this for a front a little better.

Great tire makes the ride very comfortable and easy to control.

I’ve used Maxxis stuff for years. Also been using the DHF on the front. On a whim I tried the DHR2 in the front. It immediately felt more snappy . So I’m running 2.4 in front and 2.3 in rear . I feel I don’t need any more tire on my 29er. .
