I've been dying to try infrared photography again with my digital cameras, but wasn't sure how big my commitment was. Of course, I'm one of those who believes that someone else's secondhand item is a great deal for me. Knowing the reputation of the Hoya R72 filter as the filter to get, it was easy to put a bid in on this item and score a great deal. For now, this filter has turned an older model digital camera into my dedicated IR camera. The quality is great, the glass is great, and it works exactly as I remember it working in the days when I experimented with IR-sensitive films. I'd buy one again, only the next time, I'd want one a little larger!
Excellent product and quality to take infrared photos. Perhaps the price is high but is justified in terms of quality. Very useful and interesting to make new kinds of pictures. In general, exposures usually range from 1 second to 30 seconds at F/11 and ISO 400. Depends on the amount of infrared radiation that exists in the middle.
Work's well some glare but alrigh.t
