It heats up a full room within half an hour and then I turn it off for a while. I would recommend it to anyone who haven't got small children . It is better suited to adults who are aware of it, especially as the top of it is "open" to give more heat. I love that idea, but as I say, children could perhaps not see the risk of putting little hands on it if they fell. I found the wheels a little hard to keep in, so I had to find cloth to stabilize them in their sockets. A screw in type of wheel would have been better.
