This has to be one of the very best gadgets i have ever had in my kitchen !!! easy to use,easy to clean,works extremly well for a lot of different foods. Excellent with chips(frozen or fresh) turn it on to full,wait till oil is hot, place chips in basket done so quickly.I cook soup in mine as well.Shape is also so much better than other deep fryers.love mine.

These are not much chop as a deep fryer. The oil doesn't get hot enough to deep fry chicken pieces. It barely scrapes above 150 Celcius (300F) and takes a good 15 minutes to heat the oil to that temperature. Fried Chicken needs to be cooked at 165 to 175 Celcius (330 - 350 F). This appliance just won't heat the oil that high.
