This is one of the very best. Right from the beginning it holds you to your seat. This series is brilliant. It shows how back then ,the brutality, love, how they live, survived, nothing is held back. It's graphic, but very entertaining. The photography, script, sets outdoor scenes, battles are all jaw dropping. Must have cost a fortune to make. The lead are most likeable, the rest of the cast is brilliant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED thanks.

This was awesome can't wait for season 2 to be released. What happened was I caught the last 20 minutes of the 2nd to last episode of season 2 on SBS, as I was flicking through channels & was going to flick past this one as they were speaking in a foreign language, but then went on to English. So I continued to watch it & thought it was great. So I got on the internet & looked it up & realised how much I had missed so brought season 1. It was fascinating to watch & did not realise it is a true event in history until reading some of the things people had said about the story..so yes would definitely recommend..
