This hand bar is excellent. It's made of heavy gauge steel and very sturdy. My bathtub is the original tub, in the house, from 1966. The bathtub isn't completely square, yet that was no problem for this safety rail. I have taken it off several times, after tightly securing it to the tub, and it has left no marks on the tub. It grips very well to the tub. A finely engineered piece of equipment. Good job, to whoever created this!
