I needed to "jig-sharpen" some worn top-end, cobalt drill bits. The machine was cheaper than two drill bits, so nothing to lose. That said, if you don't know how to sharpen drill bits (or other hardened tools), don't buy this. If you purchase, you will be very happy with the quality for the very low price. The attached photo is my First re-sharpen of an 11 mm bit, after I had tested it in a piece of 318 stainless. I'm completely happy with the performance of the machine and have since used it on scissors with equally good results. Definitely worth the tiny cost, just use it "properly".

Not a bad machine. but has limitations, like not being able to get the whole blade sharpened because of the plastic guides being in the way. Also, after sharpening a few pairs of blunt scissors, the diamond surface wears down on the wheel to the point of having to be replaced by the spare one provided. I haven't tried the drill sharpener yet, but it looks like it would do the job. Overall it's okay, but unless you can buy spare grinding wheels, it's not worth it. Fast shipping.

I found this product to be very inaccurate when cutting the angle on drill bits, and the abrasive wheel provided is too course and does not leave a smooth finish, like full size grinding wheels, used for dripp sharpening do

I don’t normally give my opinion on products but I consider this a very good and useful product to have. Once set up it is easy to use and does the job it was intended for. Thank you.
