This lock provides the best of two types of functionality. 1. The U-lock is quite impossible to break and 2. The additional security locking coil ensures the rest of the bicycle will not be compromised. The entire system also includes a mount, which I found essential. The lock is too large to fit insode the frame of any of the adult size bikes we have. Whils i didnt check the dimensions (may bad) the pictures were not a true representation of an install as the bike frame would need to suit someone 7 foot tall. It has to be carried around in a back-pack.
