Fantastic old movie!! Chock fulk of big name stars early in their careers .. Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis are superb as the gorgeous yet somewhat nerdy newly married couple who unexpectedly die wh0en their car gies over a bridge whilst swerving so as not to hit a goat. They return home and things really hot up when a wealthy family .. the wife an eccentric, controlling artist; the husband a mild mannered, frustrated and disillusioned city boy who has bought the house as a sort of 'sea change' .. and their dark, gothic daughter played exceptionally well by a very young Winona Ryder. This movie is a great family movie (not for the too young though) .. a 'big popcorn flick' with lots of laughs as these people & ghosts try to work out how to live wigh each other or RID themselves of each other .. then throw in a totally festy, ratbag of a ghost named Beetlejuice (played brilliantly by Michael Keaton) and you have a rollercoaster ride of a movie with lots of laughs and a good family comedy storyline. I loved it and my 12 year old son though Beetlejuice was awesome albeit disgusting. But that's boys for you. Totally recommend this old classic comedy!! Would rate it 4 out of 5 just for the fun.Read full review
