These are great but there are a couple of things to be aware of. 1. they will make the handgrips on your bike feel a little thicker. This is only noticeable for me when wearing thick, bulky winter gloves. It also feels like it makes the throttle action a little 'longer' due to the larger circumference. 2. I had some trouble fitting the grip on the throttle side. The instructions tell you to remove the ridges on the throttle tube, which I did, but then I found that the grip fitted quite loosely. After applying the glue and fitting the grip I found that the throttle was sticking on. After a few attempts I figured out that I had to be very careful when applying the glue to make sure none seeped past the ends of the throttle tube at either end when pushing the grip on. Due to the loose fit, I had to make sure that glue was applied to as much of the surface area as possible without letting it seep past the ends. I managed this by using a piece of paper to carefully smear as much of the glue around the tube without getting it near the edges.Read full review

After 4 years my genuine ( Japanese motorcycle manufacturer) heated grips failed. The switch cover had perished and allowed water to destroy the electronic bits. At one third the price of genuine replacements Oxford ticked all the boxes and my order was placed. 3 days later i was installing them. Instructions were easy to follow and installation could be as easy or difficult as you make it. I elected to route all the wiring under the tank and mount the controller to the dash. Difficult...ish. The only complaint I have is Oxford suggest you place the grips on the bars with the wires under the grip and I found my thumbs would get fouled while going for the blinker or the starter button so I would suggest going over. The heat from these grips is excellent and the battery saving mode is excellent as well. Comfortable to hold economical and not offensive to the eye what more do you need? I wonder if they last 4 years?Read full review

Oxford make excellent quality products that are good value. These grips come with motion detection, so when you pull over and stop riding, they turn off automatically to avoid unnecessary drain on the battery. Fitting is easy, I've done several sets now - first time is a challenge. On a cold winters morning heated grips are a god send and these get toasty warm.

After many a year of winter riding I finally went for the hot grips & these are the benchmark product. The battery saver function is a great idea - but if you get your mechanic to wire them properly (through the ignition) you won't need it. The available heat is more than adequate and there is good scaling of heat levels across the settings. The grips are not noticeably fatter than the originals either (in contrast to earlier versions), so you get accustomed to them easily. One issue I had - likely to be encountered increasingly - is that the grips had to be cut down to clear the traction control buttons. This, in turn, positions your hands a little further out than usual, leading to a slightly problem with the knob on the end of the clutch lever (glad I don't have shorties) - and also yielding a small aesthetic issue as there is a gap between the inner flange of the grip and the switch blocks, which looks untidy. This sort of thing suggests the merit of considering OEM grips, if you can afford them. But this is a quality product at a good price - which you'll spend either more money having installed than buying, or else a fair bit of time. All that said, they still let the backs of your hands get cold (inevitably), suggesting the merits of heated gloves as an alternative. With up to 5 hrs battery life now available - hence no need for "plug ins", this is starting to look like the better solution. Also, you keep them when you sell your bike.Read full review

I had these in my previous bike and didn’t realised how much I missed them until I put them on my new one. They make cold mornings much more variable! My only issue is that the connectors are of poor quality and so mine were able to shake themselves loose meaning they stopped working after a while. I took the connectors off and soldered the wires! Shame given everything else about them is excellent!

High quality and easy installation.. without the need to fit a relay to save your battery - I like that!! My only gripe is the glue they provide to stop the grips from spinning on your bars is not good enough. I had to re-install mine twice as the glues bond did not hold. You really need to get in there with a thicker medium, and one that doesn't dry instantly like the superglue they provide!!! I used black liquid nails. Now it doesn't slip.
