We use 2 Smartburns during the colder months. They do work. They help keep the flue clear of ash etc build up so it burns cleaner, less smoke. We use ours in a wood stove in the kitchen & wouldn't be without it. You know when the Smartburn runs out the oven starts to get slower to heat up or may smoke a bit.

Have just cleaned my flue & wanted to stop the soot from forming on my bends..Due to my roof structure I have 2 bends which is not optimal but...Im using a Jotul f8 woodburner which is very efficient as far as burning the ash etc I have said yes i would recommend it but i cannot honestly comment on the Smart Burn until winter is over & I have inspect my flue..Ask me again at the end of winter .. A bit overpriced for something that you dont know if it really works & the quality of the item seem good..

Hi, Now in our 2nd. year of using the smart burn in our slow combustion heater, and are convinced that this product is genuine and most effective in keeping the glass clear and flue manageable as the makers predicted. With thanks, Ian and Mary
