Only for light duty
I was disappointed in these. They're sharp enough, but feel flimsy. I always feel they're about to snap in half if I use them on anything hard, and the blades tend to prise apart and twist sideways instead of cutting through tough material like chicken bones. I've ended up using them only for cutting open plastic bags and similar jobs, and using a sturdier pair by another maker for more challenging tasks. One of the problems is that the two arms come apart simply by opening them to their full extent. While that makes it easy to clean them it also results in a loose, crude hinge which makes them feel quite cheap and low quality in use.
