This product was bought to give our cats access in and out of our garage while excluding the local strays. To date this has been only partially successful. One cat will use it to escape but will not use it to come back in. The other cat sees her reflection in the flap, hisses and runs away. I think I will have to cover the flap with contact to block her reflection before she will use it. Large or fat cats will not fit through the opening in this size flap. One thing not mentioned in the sales listing is that the flap will not work properly in a metal skinned door or a door with foil insulation without cutting an oversized hole and using an adaptor plate which is not supplied. In summary, a great product, but don't assume your cats will use it without a lot of coaxing and training.

The product looks good and was easy to install. Programming the cat microchip was intuitive. My main complaint is that the 'cat' flap is very small. The size would be suited to a kitten or small cat. Unfortunately the shop won't exchange it to something more suitable, since it's already been installed. Overall, I now have an expensive cat door that the cat refuses to use.
