I recommend anyone buying a replacement pull starter also buys the new cup. The old original cup on my Honda doesn't fit the new pull starter assembly. The new cup was also very cheap, thus it was a very economical fix. All that I needed to do was unscrew the 3 bolts holding the original pull assembly on, unscrew the 1 bolt holding the original cup in place, remove the originals and refit-fit with the new parts. All in all, about 10 minutes work, including getting out the spanners and undoing the parcel with the new parts. I was very pleased with how simple and economical it was to replace the original which had a broken starter cord and the spring underneath became dislodged and unravelled when I tried to take out the old starter assembly to replace the cord. The new set up works well.
