Budget pump that works as it should, never mind the negative reviews as they just don't know how to fit a pump. The pressure switch obviously won't screw directly to the pump, one look should tell you that. You will need a 1" male to female adapter about 3 inches long (preferably one that slips so you can tighten one end at a time without effecting each other). I's a cast iron pump so the 'O' Ring seals on fittings won't be that effective on the pressure side (cast iron is rough and chews 'O' rings), so either use brass with a bunch of pink plumbers tape, or plastic with the tape and a sealant like 'Stag' as silicon won't do. All in all they are excellent value for money, you can moan about it only lasting 3 years or so, or you can buy a Davey that'll last twice as long but cost literally 5 times as much, I'm on a farm miles away from anywhere and I trust these pumps. Yes I have a new in the box spare just in case, but I'd have to do the same thing if I used Davey pumps as they fail too. If you want your pump to last a long long time then simply add a pressure vessel, then your pump will cycle 2000 times a year rather than 9000 times a year, simple math...Read full review

Certainly cheap but my last one ceased functioning after 18 months. Have had several of this type but no more. Had to replace the electronic control in a previous one and got about 2 years before it too failed again. I suspect the capacitor has failed in the present machine as the motor just 'hums' and does not revolve. For a little more (about $50), the local hardware store has probably a similar quality one but with a 3 year replacement warranty. My next pump will be a better quality name brand even though is may well be twice the price of these pumps.

Perfect in every way and easy to install. What more do you want? It is installed so easily and now doing a fantastic job for such a small pump in my large garden. My thanks to everyone connected in sending me this great little pump. Value for money indeed. My friends will certainly be told about this quality pump. It is a "Must" for every home with a garden.

I bought this pump for $137, a very good price. I found that it worked very well if the feed water was at positive pressure. I actually needed it for suction. I found that it was quite sensitive to air in the inlet (it would stop pumping), but after all the air pockets had been removed (using an external manual priming setup) it worked very well on suction tasks of around 3 metres - but I haven't tested higher than that. In my application the maximum pressure needed to be less than 80 psi, so I installed an external digital pressure switch with a settable top pressure and used the supplied pressure switch as a non-return valve! Worked well.

This is the 2nd one of these I’ve bought in 12 months. Good compact solid product delivering excellent water pressure from our water tanks. One more tank to sort out in 5he months ahead,
