Solid construction, and good quality parts. Very quiet motor. Does an excellent job of keeping a large tank with a turtle clean. Has been running for over a week now without issues and it is a fraction of the cost of other brands. While hoses are good quality, they are a little bulky and hard to shape and the instructions are very minimal. Would definitely recommend.

Great value for money canister filter
The filter media supplied with this budget canister is perfect for crystal clear water. The canister is almost silent, doesn't need priming after loss of power unlike my highly rated HOB filter and it does a much better job. The improvement in water clarity that this made to my aquarium within 12hrs of installing it was remarkable. I'm about to buy another one, cheaper and does a way better job than more expensive HOBs.

Aquarium external canister filter
Overall a very good filter for the price. In less than 12hours my freshwater aquarium is crystal clear. No bio balls or media is included, only filter sponges. I added some activated carbon and bio balls to my filter. The outlet pipe sits a bit too low in the water so I modified the plastic pipe so it now sits higher up. Installation is straight forward and takes less than 10min. This is a much better filter than some of the very expensive filters, even better then my $350 filter. Excellent value for money and I will be buying more of these for the rest of my tanks.
