After a evening of home experimentation I have found that Seachem Neutral Regulator is most definitely not suited to alkaline tap water as found in Brisbane Australia. After much effort a realized only a very small amount of TechDen PH DOWN was required to turn a 10 L bucket of Brisbane water to pH 7.0. I have been (without testing) adding large amounts of the buffer in order for it to compensate for the Brisbane tap water. Such large amounts are expensive and unnecessary. I suggest that Seachem market a product that can deal with higher levels of alkalinity.
