I have always had funnel ants build their mud volcanoes after good rain. They are everywhere as the land I live on was originally sugar cane land. At the correct measurement and with proper clothing, mask and gloves makes it much better to mow the lawn without clouds of dirt flying up over everything. It works quickly and stops cocaroaches breeding in the shed.
