Suitable replacement antenna for Hilux 2WD. This replacement antenna body is not the same length as factory standard unit. Factory unit has security clamp at bottom of body to secure inside wheel arch where this unit does not. Finding body of antenna now vibrates against inside of guard, will have to ‘pack’ out with foam or similar to eliminate vibration.

This replacement is not long enough to reach the earth clamp of the original. An earth lead is required from the base of the antenna to reach the earth point. This is required to ensure there is no ignition noise through the radio. With this in place the antenna performs well.
