I bought this to dig a few holes for planting my hedge x 400 plants and did the job like cutting butter with the smallest bit. I then decided to use this for my retaining wall holes 200mm i think. This was also a beast and smashed through my terrain which at times is fairly rocky. The only part it struggled on was the clay soil which I have in some areas but its solid stuff and it cant get through it and spins out. Prob was fixed when i returned to the small bit and it punched through it and off again. So while I have to swap bits sometimes, actually swapping them takes 1 min. 1 only downfall is no clutch.(only reason for the 4 stars) If you are not a decent built person with a bit of strength, this could cause some serious damage if you hit a rock it cant tear through. I hit a few and the first one nearly broke my arm/shoulder as there is no clutch the machine will spin on itself, ripping from your arms. I learnt my lesson quick and bracing it into my knee helped me from any further problems but you MUST hold on tight unless your in perfect soil/sand etc. In general in did everything I needed and from good soil to clay to very rocky it dug the hole evertime. I got about 10 decent size holes 200mm x 600mm deep to a tank of 2 stroke fuel and it was working for it. For the price I wouldnt buy anything else as it purpose did what it needed and still goes strong and starts 2 or 3 pulls on a cold day. Read full review

Motor has no indication on the actual cylinder as to its cubic capacity. It should have an actual spring loaded standard grease nipple to easily top up the gearbox grease and the actual grease capacity of the gearbox. Kill switch nomenclature is NOT clear enough. The manual does not explain how any clutch mechanism or centrifugal power disengagement operates. The manual does NOT pertain to the actual 92cc model supplied. The spark plug was way overtightened and therefore very difficult to remove. There appears to be NO decompression easy start valve. The R side throttle control handle was loose and could not be sufficiently tightened to exclude twisting on the handle bar axis especially when bracing to start the motor. NO instructions on how to de-coke the exhaust on 2 stroke motors which is often very necessary to maintain optimal performance. Yes the gadget is reasonable value but a long way from good quality. And no I have not started it yet and may not use it for many months. Maybe I should've simply hired a digger/auger when required. But I like to own my gadget's and tinker with them. Read full review

im not sure how long it will go. but made the job much easier and quick. i made 1 meter deep post hole for billboard sign in 2 mins. it saves money on labour and time. even if it does 3 to 5 job for me, it will pay off its price i consider. 2 holes of 1 metre deep, still has plenty of petrol in the tank. and with 3 sizes of augs. good value for money. just be careful of drilling. always press the button for 1 to 2 seconds and leave. because if it stuck to rocks, it may cause injuries. it comes with a bottle with scale to fill up fuel. remember to fill the petrol till what scale says. and then fill the 2 stroke (buy it from bunnings) on top until it reaches the scale. that is what 25:1 fuel quantity means. had a 1 hour google youtube research to figure it out.

This auger comes with an impressive range of accessories. It was easy to set up and started first go. Digging fence post holes was like carving through butter! Thank you!

I have been happy with the post hole digger, yes you need to be careful of the kick back ,but l noticed on a video yesterday if two people hold it it might be easier to hold when you get the kick back, makes life a lot easier and digs holes very quickly especially where there is no rock. A little water in the holes also helps.
