His attempts to live in peace with the natives in the New World are sabotaged by his followers who seek to exploit the land and the native people. Brilliant believable movie
The music to this movie was playing as we sailed out of pareaus harbour in Greece when we had a northern cyledes cruise on a yacht some years ago. Absolute magic, never forgotten and the movie brings it all to life everytime we watch.
