I don't have a garage, so I use Dowco covers when weather threatens my 1600cc Yamaha (I use the XL size). I've owned four of them and they do what they say - the silver lower part isn't harmed by hot exhaust pipes; the vent helps prevent mildew inside the cover; there's a soft white inner part to protect the windshield; the elastic is snug enough to hold the cover on in all but strong winds (there is a hold-down strap for that). Good solid product - not to be confused with flimsier less expensive ones.

The cover is heavy duty made very well sheds water keeps my motorcycle dry and fits like a glove and stays on the motorcycle, there is a reason why they are number one in the industry for motorcycle covers, I've been riding motorcycles for 30 plus years and had several of their covers and you can't buy a better cover than a DOWCO period!
