Worked well all over the USA and Peru. Brought it out of storage to use on a new Zealand trip. Wouldn't work. I am a qualified electrician so I am legally qualified to dissemble and diagnose the fault. Found one of the elements had blown/open circuited. The fault may have been caused by the wrong voltage been selected (we did lend it out briefly). Even if this is the case, I would expect the overload protection to prevent damage. A highly visible warning "Check Voltage" on the plug or side of the jug would be a good idea that I think manufactures should adopt. If you do buy this jug, (It does work very well) you should consider leaving set to 240V when in storage, and place a large stick on label on the side of the jug to remind you to check the voltage setting before use.

Made in China, uses more than 1000w so specifications are wrong. Cups are very tiny they remind me of shot glasses.
