I had one of these years ago but the ignition finally failed. I couldn’t find this style again at the time, so I was pleasantly surprised to find them available. I’m guessing they were off the market for a bit because the old style did not have a child safety switch. The new one does, but as with most child proofing, I wish it didn’t. It probably took me longer to figure out than it would have taken my 6 year old! Overall, it is well made, compact, and I love that it extends for lighting grills, campfires and camp stoves. The flame is powerful and wind proof. So far the ignition seems to be pretty dependable. Being refillable is a nice feature above the cheap ones that you can get at the hardware store.

I have the Soto pocket torch that uses butane lighters. This is a nice item as it solves the problem of having to get too close to light my Coleman stove. The extended nozzle is great for keeping your hands from getting singed.

It's a good product but in my case it's much better without having to push the safety switch before igniting the touch. My children are grown and on there own so for me I took the safety switch out much more convenient.

Bought this to light my camping stove. Works a treat, reliable ignition, works every time. Integrated safety means it wont set your pocket on fire. Telescoping burner means you won’t burn your fingers while lighting whatever you’re lighting. Better than any bbq lighter I’ve bought. Not the cheapest but looks well made and will hopefully last a while.
