Multiple uses means handier..
A handy device. Women like myself who are not qualified tradies may do better to watch a you tube video about how to operate it first, as that can be easier than attempting to read the manual. I have what I call an “impossible wall” which seemingly doesn’t have beams in it. I had used every method to find the studs, tapping, magnets, even hammering holes clean through the plasterboard, but had no luck at all. This device was able to locate the beams easily once I had turned off the extension power cord I had going along the same wall. It works very well as a stud finder and has good sensitivity. It is good that this device has more uses than just one too, it means that it will get used many times for various purposes in the future, even just for straightening wall hangings like picture frames. The unit seems to be economically made from light plastics and designed as basic as possible. Made in China-(may the reader be the judge about that). It uses a 9v battery on the down side it is a more uncommon battery and harder to get rechargeable ones, but on the upside the energy 9v batteries last a whole lot longer. I feel the price is average for the unit, and could be more affordable. For these reasons I give this stud finder a 4 star rating. Read full review

Accurate and simple to use.
Very simple to use, with care to follow the instructions. Make sure you watch the YouTube video of the product, as it makes correct operation of the stud finder much simpler.

Have to slide device over the wall a few times to get good accuracy of finding studs as instructed on YouTube demonstration. Otherwise a fairly good product with useful different features
