After buying 3 sets of 36 pencils of good quality, I can only say that this set is of excellent value in every way. The pencil rarely needs to be sharpened, so little is used with each stroke because of the depth and intensity of the colour and the quality of the product. There are also a few subtle colours in this set that I have not encountered until now, a big plus when mixing softer colours. Though I had hesitated about spending this much on a set of pencils, I am now very happy I did so. I cannot see that anyone could be disappointed with this purchase.
