I finally got around to getting myself a monitor arm. What an investment! I wanted more desk space, more usability of my work space, something that looked good, something that was easy to put together, something that would just work without giving me any grief. I found all this in the North Bayou New F80. It fit my purpose precisely. Delivered to my door personally, it arrived in excellent condition. Did my unboxing, checked that everything that was supposed to be on the box was on the box. Instructions in English were logical and accurate: the assembly process went smoothly with no surprises. As I used the desk edge mounting rather than the desk grommet method,I had to make a block for my desk for the clamp as my desk has a rail around the edge of about 40mm. Placed the block behind the rail and put the clamp on that to clear the rail - no problem. Assembly of the unit was easy peasy. Just followed the instructions. The screws fit the thread holes in my monitor, the bracket fit the hole spacing, aligning perfectly. The arm segments for together perfectly, the arm fit in the desk mount perfectly. The arm tension adjustment worked perfectly. The North Bayou New F80 is an excellent choice when you want a monitor arm. It's fun to put together because it is easy to put together. It's satisfying to see it all set up on your desk and to see all the space you now have. I can now put my keyboard toward the back of my desk and place an A4 note book in front of me to write on. I would encourage you to purchase this unit as a solution to your requirements for a good quality, usable, monitor arm. Requires two different sized hex keys to adjust the tilt and the height which is weird and besides only one key is provided. So a little less flexible than the competing models with an elbow type support. A risk with these is that the gascylinder fails as happened with the previous unit, but this unit is prominently branded and is sold by a specialist who too will be careful of their reputation.
