An engaging and well acted series.
This is an outstanding introduction to a new series. One hopes, there are quite a few more in the series. The opening three episodes are extremely engaging. The filming, the scenery, and the music, are simply wonderful. The actors are well chosen for their respective roles. Each episode moves at a leisurely pace, story lines are believable; however, the ending of each episode tends to come a little too abruptly. Cannot wait for series 2, etc.

Its OK, Woman of mystery, exotic settings etc.
Quite entertaining generally. The background filming is quite seductive in terms of settings color and general lusciousness. Quite sensual even if some of the specific settings are a little indulgent.. Supporting caste is quite up to the overall plot requirements. All fits quite well for an introductory series. My main overall criticism is the some quite obvious plot weaknesses in terms of the main characters backgrounds, behavior and overall Bond like capabilities in some areas. A few like the ex husband and niece do not work that well.. Bit clunky in parts but still quite charming overall. Reminds me of some of the earlier episodes of Inspector Montelbano..Reasonable alternative to some of the overly dark offerings from other areas. I believe that is worth the time and effort. 3.5 out of 5.Read full review
