Overview Advocate for Dogs Over 25 kg is an easy to use, water resistant monthly spot-on that provides comprehensive protection from fleas, heartworm disease, intestinal worms, oesophageal worm, mites and lice. Advocate is a fast-acting, water resistant, easy to apply monthly spot-on offering comprehensive parasite protection. It kills fleas fast and on contact, so there's no need for them to bite! Reinfesting fleas stop biting in 3-5 minutes and are killed within 1 hour. Larval flea stages are killed in the dog's surroundings, and it reduces the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis. Also treats and controls lice as well as mange and ear mites. Advocate prevents heartworm disease and treats and controls adult & juvenile stages of roundworms and hookworms.

Expensive but does the job well.
Easy one application treatment that protects against a wide range of parasites. Selecting a treatment can be very confusing, our VET put us onto this years ago and we have been using it ever since with good results. Not rated for tick protection but they have other products that are if you need it. Would love to find a cheaper product that does the same thing but all the brands are very expensive. Buying online does however deliver a 25 -30% saving compared to walking into your local VET or pet shop and buying it over the counter.

The only one I'd recommend
Advocate is the only one that truly does everything from fleas to mites to worms. My sensitive skin dog can only handle this one which is lucky because after trying the rest it covers the most things and actually works. Works for dogs of all sizes and is easy enough to apply. For ticks you could put it on every 2 weeks but I use Scalibor collars for that anyway.

Advocate prevents infestations.
I have seen cheaper products that have given dogs permanent seizures. I have had no problem with Avocate. Coming from Queensland there was always a danger of heartworm and ticks. She proved to have ticks and fleas. Expensive to eradicate from the soft furnishings and carpet. Drove me nuts I now prevent any more out breaks with Advocate.
