If you are in a bad situation and heat is critical to life then these Titan Storm matches are the way to go. Light them throw them on the ground and stomp on then and they just keep burning. Stick them in a glass of water and they keep burning. The matches average 4.125'' long and are over a 1/4'' round, they make the original UCO matches seem small. The case is an injected mold plastic that is solid and waterproof with the O-ring. I would recommend these to anyone. Its like an insurance policy, rarely ever needed but good to have just in case.

The matches are big and easy to light but sizzle and burn like a flare then quickly (5 seconds) extinguish - they seem to do what advertised but am not sure how helpful they'll be for lighting a fire.

The Titan matches are great. The burn time is as advertised; between 20 and 25 seconds. These Titan matches are a must for outdoor camping, bush crafting or emergency situations. It would be nice if they were a bit less expensive but the benefit out weighs the cost. Thank you for a great product!!!

I ordered these matches hoping that the case would be "pocket sized", but I miscalculated the dimensions, and the case is too big to carry in a pocket. HOWEVER, I'm glad I got them, because the case is very strong, it's waterproof, and the matches light easily and burn hot ... you can light anything with them, and rain doesn't put them out. So these have gone into my "Go Bag" that I carry in case of emergency, and I'm confident that I can light a fire anywhere with any sort of material with these .... and if I drop them overboard, they'll still light!

I lit one of these matches in a 20 mph windstorm, stuck the match into the tinder under a campfire. By the time the match burned out, the campfire was lit. GOOD PRODUCT! I tried striking matches in a rain storm with dry matches and EVERYTHING wet, including me. The matches would not light. I kept trying until the striker disintegrated. Replaced the striker with a dry striker, match lit, tinder lit, and campfire lit. NOT AS GOOD AS IT SHOULD BE.
