An 8hp pump for that much? Seems too good to be true. You do get a 4-stroke petrol pump. Mine worked first pull after filling up with fuel & oil. Perfect as an entry-level fixed firefighter to drive sprinklers and hoses around the house. What’s the catch? The chassis is flexy and the fittings supplied are cheap plastic - throw them away. The outlet thread is a bit rough and only suitable to a barbed nut & tail type fitting that has a washer inside the nut as the thread has a section of the thread shaved off so no amount of thread tape will seal it. These are small negatives compared to the bang for your buck. I will be happy if it gives me more than 3 years service.

It was gushing out fuel when I first fired it up. Took off fuel tank. Cross threaded into tank. Put in correctly. Also supplied fitting very weak. Weight of hose broke screw on fitting. Recommend good heavy fittings. Apart from that it pumps great. Doing about 90 metre and up3m. Fills water pop 1000 ltr in about 10 mins.

I use this pump every week for through winter around 20 hours emptying excess storm water. It pumps water through 2 inch lay flat hose for a distance of around 100 meters. Works perfectly and is as good as any brand name pump. Starts first pull of the cord every time. The price is a bargain and shipping is super fast. Highly recommend this pump. The quality is very very good.

Wanted something priced modestly for only very occasional use to pump out silt from water tanks. Could hardly believe that I could get it for the price (including delivery). Was familiar with the type of engine which I have on a number of other types of equipment and which have always served me well. Just had to fill it with oil and petrol, prime the pump and it started first pull as I was confident it would. I operated it at around 70% revs and it moved a hell of a lot of water pretty quickly. The best buy I've made in a long time.

Satisfactory product, but the assembly level is poor. Went to fill the fuel tank, petrol went everywhere! Assemblers forgot to connect fuel hose between tank and carburettor! Had to unbolt and take the fuel tank off, and connect hose before I could use it. Once the hose connection was fixed, it ran satisfactorily. Pump pressure is not overly impressive, for firefighting stream. Barbed hose tails are poor quality, flange broke off plastic hose tail, before I could use the pump! Threw the hose tail away, and fitted a Camlock threaded coupling, that solved the problem. Roll cage is badly thought out, can't get aircleaner element out, because it fouls the bar on the cage. Need to reposition the bar of the cage. Overall, cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for.
