This is a great book and DVD for pre-school children, though i recomend reading the book before viewing the DVD. Children and adults love this book, i have sat down many a night with my niece and read this book over and over again; its a plus that the book doesn't drive the parent crazy either lol. My niece wi9ll liturally bring the book into the living room at family functions and order us to read it as a group like she does in kindy, sit on the floor and gather aroung in a circle. Animals being naughty and making a mess - the perfect combination for most small children. It's true that in some of these books there is vocabulary which is challenging for pre-schoolers, but that doesn't seem to matter when the story is this entertaining and amusing. It is rhyming, which is a benefit for base line assessment within kindy and primary school - and great fun to read to pre-school children. The cat (slinky minky) has loads of character, and there is a moral out there for all adults to pass on to their children! You should definitely buy this wonderful book.Read full review
My two year old watches it every day. Sits with each book reading them as the story plays on the DVD, knows every single character.
