I just received my Derby Shave Stick this afternoon. What a great shave I had this evening! This product smells good, lathers easily and provides a close, silky smooth shave. I used an Astra SP blade in my adjustable razor for this shave. The post shave feel is excellent. I think that I prefer this (Derby) stick to the Arko shave stick, but both soaps work very well! This is very much like the other similarly priced shave soap stick. I like the stronger fragrance of the Derby, however. I use this stick in two ways. (1) I find it to be a little bit too much work to rub the stick on my face enough to get a good lather, so instead, I shave a little soap into my lather bowl and work up with my brush there. (2) Because Derby is so good, but I like to rotate my soaps, I will rub the stick on my beard and then lather with a different soap. Kind of like shave oil, but I used Derby as my "pre-shave."

Derby shave Stick is a great way to get a close shave. It has a great lather that feels good on your face as well as having a pleasant smell. It is a great value for a great shaving Stick. It will remind you of Arco but I believe it lathers much better. Give it a try because it definitely will not hurt your pocketbook.
