This is the second one we have bought (for another house) because we loved the first one so much. We've had the first one for a few years and it's great. The lock-in, lock-out functions come in very handy and our dog learned how to use it very quickly. Seems to be great quality.

This product started out being our best purchase. We loved that our small, older dog could come and go as he pleased but that our young dogs that get up to mischief couldn't get into the house. However, when we weren't home on a few occasions, our dogs managed to flick the door and unlock it and make their way through the house creating chaos as they went. I think it's a wonderful idea, but paying that much money and it not performing the way we had hoped was disappointing. We will be moving the dog door to work from the front yard instead of the back yard, but this will mean that the microchip feature is redundant as the other dogs won't have access to it anyway.

Great product. My kitten took to it without any problem. The only issue is that you can only use the one curfew time for all pets. I wanted to be able to let my dog out at night but keep the cat in. It's not clear from the description of the product that this can't be done.

The door is great. It didn't take long for the cats to get used to it (half a bag of treats) and the neighbour's cat no longer comes in and takes over the house. And I don't have to worry about cat fights as the curfew works brilliantly. Great product, a bit pricey but if it continues to work for a few years it will be well worth it. It might even help reduce the territory marking inside.
