Very bright! So bright In fact that I was able to shoot a full day using only 20-60% of max brightness through a softbox and still retain over 50% battery when wrapping up. Remote control works allright, I have not yet tried out the app. Build quality seems adequate, but nothing heavy duty and seemingly durable. I suspect it will break if you drop it from eye level down on a hard surface (most other lights provably would break in such a drop though). Therefore you should take care of this wonderful light, if you treat it well you should be able to have it brighten up your day for a long time. Color rendition seems very good, does not flicker either. Barn doors does a better job protecting the LED diodes than shaping the light. This is to be expected on LED panels in general since you have hundreds of small light where each of them casts Its own shadow. Barn doors works better on single chip lights like the Aputure 120d or the Godox SL-60w. Finally... This light is simply awesome, dont hesitate just buy the damn thing. I'm just amazed how well constructed is the Yongnuo YN-600L II 5500K It doesn't feel cheap at all. All the materials employed in the construction of this light fixture are top grade and were carefully selected to optimize its performance, achieving a powerful output within a lightweight case. It has plenty of room to bounce the light, the perfect size to use it along with a reflective or shoot through umbrella, you can easily change its color temperature using gels or even use the one included which can achieve a wonderful warm color. I also must say that I have some of those fancy lights like the Rotolights, Bowens, you name it, that are not as well constructed or good engineered as the YN-600L II. You can easily solve the most demanding photo or video shootings using two or three of these lights. Best for going on location or even on the studio. Yongnuo is my top choice.Read full review
