Much better build than the last generation of Chinese saws, but whether it will last is a whole other thing. The case is now metal, and it has a much better air filter. The bar lube cap is a bit dodgy. These saws are good for people that occasionally cut a tree or two down and into firewood and cant justify paying for a 'real' saw.You get your moneys worth, and chuck them away. You need to do a few repairs yourself usually to keep them going as they are made out of low quality materials and not designed the best. I expect the chain will stretch fairly quickly and it will drop in power, but for now its cutting well fresh out of the box. I havent tried it on its side while cutting down a tree yet, which is when these Chinese things usually play up.

This saw is nothing but trouble. The 2 months I've owned it it's already been sent back to have the starter coil replaced, now it won't start after it backfired and from that it seems to have no compression! The build quality is a poor standard, bolts were loose when I opened it from the box so keep your money and save for a trusted brand!

This is my 4th Bummer, the previous 3 lasting about 12 months (which is what I was hoping) when the spark timing went haywire and they completely lost spark. Chose to replace them rather than waste money repairing them as local repairmen only like brand-names. The new model looks to be vastly improved with design changes in the areas where the old ones kept breaking. Performance of the saw was impressive after the new chain was sharpened (it was not sharp and run before it was sharpened). Suggested areas for the next improvement would include the dog (it bent first time I used it), Exhaust (it will start a fire in dry wood if not careful), and fuel line (it required re-positioning in the tank so it could get fuel when up-side down). An option for a 20" bar would also be good as I now have a good collection of 24" bars along with lots of parts for the older model. Probably not the best option for first-time beginners or for those whose livelihood is dependent on this saw, but if you have multiple saws then this is excellent value for money when compared with the brand names.Read full review

We all know that some guys aren't satisfied unless they have the most exquisite equipment on the market. I just need chainsaws. I have used a Baumr-Ag 62cc 20 inch saw for six years and have done huge amounts of work with it. The only problem I have ever had was a bent chainbar because I ran over it with a quad bike. Last year some true monster gums fell on my place...I knew it was too much for the small beast so I got the SX 82 with 24 inch bar. The thing is incredible value. It performs faultlessly doing four or five consecutive cuts in wood which is as thick as the bar is long. I am not a pro, so I just let it idle for a minute or so before cutting again. With big branches etc, just keep going as long as you like.I use my gear a fair bit...I treat tools with respect and these saws have never let me down. The e-start also works really well .Read full review

Bought this 82cc Baumr-AG just to see I guess. Looks to be a copy of HUSQVARNA 576 or close to it. Bar quality pretty good better than the chain. Idled a little high at first feels a looks a bit tacky but starts third pull revs and cuts just fine. Not Sure about the 6HP claim but it probably comes close. I have owned and run several farm use saws over the last thirty years . I still have my original McCulloch Pro Mac 700 and on my second Stihl 038 I have had several Husqvarna saws. They are all great saws the problem is their purchase price and the cost of parts. Now I'm retired it is a little tougher to justify the $2000 plus price tag of a Husky 576 or its equivalent. After taking my two larger saws in to our local Stihl agent in Albany WA and being charge $350 to service them I saw red as one was returned DOA . I needed a saw with a 24" bar to cut some long dead Karri logs 30" or so in girth into billets. For the cost of a brand name bar and chain I bought this cheap saw made thirty full bar depth cuts on some of the hardest timber to be found in WA. Paid for itself already. Will never buy another brand name saw or have it professionally serviced. For those in the same or similar situation these saws are a real option. As always of course YMMV I found the reviews of this saw particularly useful.Read full review

I live on a large block with many trees. In the past I've had many chain saws . I couldn't resist trying the saw being auctioned at that price. My old saw died and we had a storm and 4 big gums came down. The Baumr Sx 62 ripped through them easy . I 've since bought an other one but the original is still going strong after much work/ .

Great engine don't get me wrong and that new air filter and whole new redesign is a huge leap in the right direction I'd buy this saw again as I'm good at fixing mowers and chainsaws. This saw I've bought is the one I figure out the bugs so if I ever buy another one I'll know exactly what to do the second it comes out of the box. Looking at modifying the side cover to accept a standard chain tensioner as the thing it has is bloody useless and has too much slap in the weird worm drive gearing causing it to skip and strip on the very first nip up of the chain, and replacing fuel lines with new good quality ones. That decompression valve is a bit dodgy so get a new one of those too from a quality manufacturer. This saw has potential and has shown me it will be a good thing once I've made my adjustments. You'll see it at Gavman's Workshop on YouTube as I upload videos of it here and there.Read full review

This saw is amazingly easy to start, and performs consistently well. It's big, powerful and inexpensive, better than I expected for the money. The chain tensioner lets it down though, and really needs to be redesigned, but overall it's a great saw for a very good price.

Posted promptly. Arrived in tact. Started easily except the kick-back chain guard was locked on. This was easy to fix once it became apparent what had happened. Plenty of power and starts without a problem. The compression button is a good idea with a engine of this size. The robust air filter looks better than the standard flimsy Chinese chainsaw filter.
