This book will probably astonish many readers with its quiet, graceful step outside of the rules of everyday life (or or being alive) and then amaze them with insights into the quality of life itself, for a young woman, and for friends and family. This is, like the Time Traveler's Wife, and The Lovely Bones,a written cousin of the Groundhog Day, the film, in that reality is re-described (or re-prescribed) with no glimpse of the writer behind the curtain, the how-it-works or or even the why-it-happens. This will be, for many readers, like the books mentioned above, a favorite book, or the best read in a long time. Bought this book for my granddaughter for her bday. I read a small portion prior to giving it to her. I was moved so much by the emotion shared with the reader that it made me rethink a few of my life thoughts. A great book for young people!
This book was incredibly hard to read and incredibly sad. I liked the story but it was such a downer, there wasn't much hope in it at all. I would recommend it though because it is a great book to make you think about life.
