This is a good quality product, however you need to ask yourself one question: why do I want a concert uke tuned like a mandola? The low C and G strings sound dull because my concert uke is a more trebly instrument and doesn't react well to low notes. Perhaps a deeper concert uke would sound better. These strings do perform much better than classical guitar strings used for the same purpose, but my advice would be that if you want to play mandola on a ukulele you should choose a baritone size ukulele rather than concert or perhaps choose the mandolin tuned ukulele strings (gdae) instead.

I have been using Aquila nylgut for several years now both on Tenor and Baritone Ukes and have found them good on the fingers, hold tone well, and generally enjoy playing Aquila strings.
