Now have great watering system for potplants. I ahve a lot and one outlet timer just wasn't putting out the pressure for the long runs of irrigation pipe. I have re-vamped the system and with the system divided in 2, I'm now getting the pressure I need. ORBIT make good quality timers - I have 5 all told (VERY large garden) & I know they all operate when they are set to water.

The unit worked well, I have a previous one that a year later is still running fine, with same batteries. I would say it is "ok" to use, meaning not super easy, but with a few practices it is not impossible to grasp. My only challenge really was around the putting it into manual mode, after several trials I was able to eventually work out the sequence to fire off one solenoid rather than all of them. Probably not something my grand mother would be happy with, for starters it requires multiple pushes of buttons within a time frame, and then you have to be able to read the display which is often one foot off the ground. However for normal operation and typical auto operation it worked fine. Note: no offence meant for grand mothers, some would probably do better than me, but even I struggled to get down low enough and quickly read and push relavent buttons to achieve manual over ride.Read full review
