The pack is pretty much exactly maximum size for carry on luggage within a few cm/i1 inch of linear measurements. It can hold lots of gear, and is very well padded, the outside being relatively rigid. The major flaw is in security - for carrying valuable camera gear, the zip to the quick access port for your camera is not set up for locking - I had to "jury rig" a travel padlock across to a side strap - a poor alternative - the addition of a loop to permit a lock would be helpful.

I’ve been using this bag for a few months now and it is a really good bag. Plenty of room for everything. Bit large on size but you can put everything in it. I have a mirrorless body, around 7 lenses, filter systems and a lightweight jacket in the bag. There is a separate compartment for a 15” laptop. This bag is big enough for a large DSLR and lenses. It is well padded for comfort. If you do not need a laptop space consider Altarise 45. Smaller than the 48 but still gives you enough room.

Great value, comfortable to wear when full. I had one full frame DSLR with lens and two more lens, also one 6x45 medium format film camera with lens and two more lens, Nisi filter kit plus extra filters, batteries, films and a tripod.
