I brought one of these fans a couple of weeks ago for my garage. Works great for my needs. As Its the garage Im not concerned about the noise. Low speed is great and its quieter and can be used in a bedroom if you dont mind a slight hum. Med and Hi speeds are much louder but moves plenty of air around. There is a bit of fidely around putting it together and the instructions are useless but you figure it out and all comes together anyway. Exactly what I needed for my garage. I would use it in my house but not so sure while sleeping. Overall awesome powerful fan and great price too

Although this fan has plastic blades it is very strong and very reliable it is noisy when in a small room when put on medium or high but it is what you need on a very hot day. The base is extremely strong to carry the speed of the fan. I bought two of them and they are just great.

It's a brilliant fan. It's a 5 blade, 3 speed high velocity fan that does the job. The blades are plastic, a little bit different to what I'm used to with my high velocity, 3 speed metal blade fan. But it's a little quieter than that one, at the cost of not being as powerful. However, it still does a great job. I live in South East Queensland with some pretty hot summers, and so far it's outperforming my expectations.
