The perfect companion to some very expensive Corsair LL series fans. They connect in series and are individually controllable through the lightning node software. The strips come magnetized and with 3M back sticky tape for a more permanent solution. I simply use the magnets so I can rearrange the strips within the case. Honestly, cheaper light strips can cost around $15-$20, but usually only come with 2 strips where as this kit comes with four strips. If you want software controlled light strips and you currently don't have Corsair series fans with the lightning node, then buy the light-strip kit that comes with the lightning node since it's really not that much more expensive, just make sure to have an open USB2.0 header so they can be software controlled; but it will also give you the ability to upgrade to (four fans-per lightning node) superior Corsair fans later on. If you already have Corsair fans and your lightning node is filled up with more than 4 fans, then the kit with the lightning node will allow you to expand on what you already have as you can run multiple lightning nodes in series.
