EHEIM PreFilter is an additional pre-filter that retains the majority of large dirt particles present in your aquarium water, before the water passes through your external filter. This avoids the premature clogging of this same external filter and therefore lengthens the maintenance intervals. Its base rests on the bottom of the aquarium. Water is drawn in all around, over a wide area, through the modular filter baskets which can be filled with the filter media of your choice and easily cleaned and replaced. Maintenance is very simple, since all you have to do is remove the 2 filter baskets and rinse or replace the filtration media. Eheim PreFilter is fixed in place of the intake pipe using its telescopic rod, which can be extended if necessary. The system fits the Eheim InstallationsSET 1.
